Dr. Manoranjan Pon. Ram is a research-oriented E-Learning professional and educationist who has been modernizing and revitalizing the digital facet of higher education as a lead of SRM University Online, Chennai, and previously with Amity University Online, Amity University, Noida, Delhi NCR. With over 30+ years of professional experience, he has been associated with various government universities and PAN-India projects involving the design and development of LMS-compatible interactive audio-visual learning materials, student engagement strategies, online assessment, and digital delivery systems. He has also worked closely with leading corporate groups in Mumbai, contributing to digital learning, training, and knowledge-development initiatives. He is an evangelist of Flipped Learning pedagogy and has undertaken extensive research on outcome-based teaching-learning models, including Flipped Classrooms and Blended Learning.
Author is another adjective used for this former member of editorial boards of various leading journals who has eight edited books on Management and IT to his credit. On the educational front, he has achieved diverse academic qualifications such as bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Post-Graduation in Management with a doctorate in E-Commerce, which makes a strategic combination of Management and Information Technology for blended approach. He has received the prestigious awards such as "Rastriya Gaurav Award", “Certificate of Excellence” from honourable Dr. Bhima Narain Singh - former Governor of Tamil Nadu & Assam for meritorious service in Management and IT Education and “Udyog Shiksha Sahyog Puruskar”.
Currently, being the Director – Directorate of Online Education, he is responsible for strategizing the entire process of curriculum designing, content development, teaching-learning pedagogy, delivery, formative & summative assessments, support, quality & stakeholders’ engagement. He has been avidly propagating the use of digital platforms for doing business and education delivery among corporate executives and academicians through Consultancy, Management & Faculty Development programs, by giving talks at conferences & seminars. He has given notable contribution in the development and delivery of MOOC for SWAYAM; Government of India.
Presently, he is involved in the research of blending Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques with teaching-learning methodology for online higher education.
